Rock Bomber

 
A film created for Vollebak to introduce their new Rock Bomber jacket.Inspired by the jacket’s connection to slate, we built the story around the transition from stone to fabric. Raw geological forms, carved patterns and material transformations gradually evolve into the structure, texture and movement of the jacket itself.






The story begins with slate raw, heavy and almost monolithic.As the stone moves through space, the Rock Bomber pattern begins to emerge from its surface, as if it is being carved directly into the material. This creates the first connection between the natural structure of rock and the graphic construction of the jacket.






Between stone and fabric, we introduced a series of more abstract sculptural compositions. These scenes borrow elements from the jacket — its lines, structure, surfaces and material contrasts — and reinterpret them at a larger, almost architectural scale.   They act as transitions between the different physical states of the Rock Bomber.









Movement becomes another way of exploring the Rock Bomber’s material language. Forms stretch, fold, twist and interact with each other, shifting between something rigid and something soft.


The early concepts established the visual world of the film  a minimal gallery-like space where the Rock Bomber is treated as a sculptural object alongside raw slate.





We explored the contrast between the rough, fractured surface of stone and the precise geometric pattern of the jacket. In some studies, the pattern appears to be carved directly into the slate; in others, it leaves the rigid surface behind and transforms into flexible, flowing material.
